About The Dunston Hall 0118 971 4700
Dunston Hall is a country house hotel ensconced into 150 acres of peaceful Norfolk countryside. It was built in 1859, the same year in British history that the Big Ben clockface on the Palace of Westminster started ticking, and Darwin’s ‘The Origin of Species’ was published for the first time. Originally an estate belonging to the Long family, 150 acres were sold to new owners in 1859. They built the hall that has now been extensively restored by De Vere into the welcoming hotel and events venue we see today.
Dunston Hall contains 169 en suite bedrooms that combine the best features of the historical setting with modern conveniences. Guests have the opportunity to stay in a Classic room, a Deluxe room, or a spacious Suite. Each room has a good range of amenities including satellite TV with film rentals, broadband Internet access, and direct dial telephones. The rooms are equipped to comfortably accommodate business guests visiting the hotel for a corporate meeting, or leisure visitors making the most of the golf and spa facilities.
The dining facilities at the Dunston Hall Hotel have been pleasantly updated in line with the rest of the hotel. La Fontaine is the hotel’s main restaurant, serving a menu of British and continentally inspired food. There is a second eatery, The Brasserie Bar & Grill, as well as a clubhouse within the golf amenities. Dunston Hall also holds eleven meeting rooms, with a maximum capacity of 300 guests. The conference facilities include a comprehensive choice of delegate rates. The hotel is adept at holding romantic wedding receptions.
The Dunston Hall Hotel is a great choice for meetings and weddings, but is also a superior location when it comes to relaxing and taking time away from a busy schedule. There is a spa on site offering a full range of facials, massages and beauty treatments. The leisure and fitness facilities also include an indoor swimming pool and gym. Golf fans will enjoy spending a few hours on the par 71 Dunston course. There is a golf school offering tuition for novices, and the Bunkers Clubhouse, which offers dining, drinking and snooker tables.
